ACME 1"-5 is a 29° trapezoidal power screw thread conforming to the American Standard ASME B1.5. It has an outer diameter of 25.4mm and 5 threads per inch, with a large lead suitable for heavy-duty rapid linear transmission.

The primary countries of use: North America as the core market (United States, Canada, Mexico); widely in Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Southeast Asian foreign-invested factories; domestic and Korean/Taiwanese manufacturing enterprises mostly use it in equipment exported to North America. European Union and Japanese domestic equipment generally adopt metric trapezoidal threads and rarely use this specification.

Convert rotational motion into linear push-pull, lifting, and clamping positioning. Trapezoidal threads have a large load-bearing area, strong load capacity, dust resistance, and are less prone to jamming. They can be paired with split nuts and have self-locking effects in some operating conditions. The 1"-5 large pitch of ACME 1"-5 allows for faster movement, making it suitable for low-speed heavy-duty and long-travel adjustment scenarios. Note that it is not interchangeable with the metric trapezoidal thread Tr26×5 of the national standard.
