DIN 934 / ISO 4032 coarse hex nut, property class 12, manufactured from quenched and tempered 35CrMoA, hot-dip galvanized to 55 µm. Dimensions: 36 mm across flats, 19 mm height. Proof load stress 1200 MPa; thread after galvanizing tapped to 6AZ/6AX. The coarse 3 mm pitch ensures reliable assembly on long tie rods with hydraulic torque wrenches and minimizes galling risk during power-tool tightening.
Functions and Purposes
At M24, the nut enters heavy civil and bulk-handling applications where access is limited and joints must remain secure for decades. Typical installations include anchor bolts for large centrifugal fans, head-end pulleys of overland conveyors, and swing bearing mountings on slewing stackers. The 55 µm zinc layer withstands continuous outdoor exposure and de-icing salts on bridge bearing anchors.
