AS1252 hexagon nuts are high-strength heavy hex nuts specifically engineered for Australian steel construction projects. They are designed to be used in conjunction with AS1252 heavy hex bolts, providing heavy-duty, seismic-resistant, and slip-critical connections. As required components, they fully comply with Australian standards and are mandatory for engineering projects in Australia.
- Material/Grade: Grade 8.8 alloy steel (mainstream), also available in Grade 10.9
- Surface Treatment: Hot-dip galvanized (HDG) as primary, also Dacromet, black oxide
- Specifications: M12, M16, M20, M22, M24, M27, M30, M36 (metric coarse thread)
- Application: For slip-critical structural connections, used as a complete assembly with AS1252 bolts and washers.
