The external dimensions of the DIN934 GR.2H hexagonal nut follow the DIN934 standard, and the grade complies with ASTM A194 GR.2H. The commonly used material is 45K medium carbon steel, which undergoes quenching and tempering treatment with a minimum tempering temperature of 455°C. Equivalent carbon steel bar stock can also be selected for forging and machining.
Mechanical Properties
For finished nuts with M36 and below, the hardness is 24~35 HRC, with a guaranteed stress of ≥1205 MPa.
They possess good high-temperature strength, are suitable for high-temperature operating conditions, and can be used in conjunction with A193 B7 studs. This forms a classic combination for flange connections in petrochemical and power industries.
Applicable Scenarios
① High-temperature and high-pressure pressure-bearing equipment such as pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, valve flanges, which are safety-critical connections;
② Petrochemical and power plant steam pipelines, which are subjected to continuous high temperatures and alternating loads;
③ High-tension fastening nodes such as anchor bolts for heavy-duty equipment and large steel structures.
When bolts of high-grade studs such as B7 are used, requiring matching nut strength to prevent thread yielding or slippage, or when operating conditions involve high temperature, high pressure, or vibration, and ordinary 8-grade or 10-grade nuts cannot meet the requirements, 2H grade nuts should be selected.
