Product Introduction
DIN 934 / ISO 4032 coarse hex nut, property class 12, 35CrMoA quenched and tempered, hot-dip galvanized 55 µm. Width across flats 10 mm, height 5 mm. Proof load stress 1200 MPa; post-galvanizing thread tolerance 6AZ/6AX. The coarse 1 mm pitch resists stripping in shallow tapped holes and allows secure fastening on thin sheet-metal panels where thread engagement is inherently limited.
Functions and Purposes
At this small size, the 12 class strength turns the nut into a compact anchor capable of maintaining high clamp loads without increasing the bolt diameter – valuable inside sealed electronic housings where space is at a premium. The thick zinc layer protects against humidity and mild chemical exposure, making it suitable for laboratory instruments, valve positioners, and outdoor sensor brackets. Dehydrogenation is mandatory to eliminate any hydrogen introduced during pickling and galvanizing; on thin M6 sections, this step is critical for avoiding delayed fracture. Typical applications include terminal box lids, pneumatic manifold mounts, and industrial camera gimbals, where corrosion protection and reliable electrical bonding are both required
