DIN6334 Standards
DIN6334 is a German standard hexagonal long nut/screw coupling nut, equivalent to the international standard ISO8992. Its main length is three times the nominal diameter of the thread (L=3d). It features full internal threading throughout its body, with a hexagonal outer contour for wrench tightening. Its core function is to connect two screws or bolts to achieve extension, adjustment, and tension fixation.
Core Structure and Basic Parameters
1. Shape: A regular hexagonal prism, with six faces that can be tightened using an open-end wrench or socket.
2. Length: Standard total length = 3 × major diameter of the thread; through-hole internal threads at both ends (tolerance 6H).
3. Standard Specifications: M4 to M52; commonly used sizes include M6-M24.
4. Compatibility: Suitable for connection with fully threaded rods, double-ended studs, and external-threaded bolts of the same specification.
Material and Mechanical Properties
1. Common Materials & Strength Grades
(1) Carbon Steel (Mainstream Industrial Grade)
Strength Grades: 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th grades (8th grade is the general standard; 10th grade is used for heavy-duty applications).
8th-grade nuts: Minimum tensile strength of 800MPa, hardness HV250~380, with excellent anti-vibration and loosening performance.
Surface treatments: Electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, blackening, and Dacromet, offering progressively enhanced rust resistance.
(2) Stainless Steel (Corrosion-Resistant Applications)
A2 (304): General-purpose corrosion-resistant option for typical humid environments.
A4 (316): Suitable for severe corrosive conditions such as seawater, chemical processing, and salt spray.
