DIN985 is essentially a hex lock nut with a non-metallic (nylon) insert. Its core function is to generate friction by creating a press-fit between the nylon ring inside the nut and the bolt threads, forming an anti-loosening to effectively prevent the nut from coming loose under vibration, impact, or dynamic loads, ensuring the reliability of threaded connections.
