High-strength Structural Nuts (EN14399-3:2015)
• Product Name: High-strength structural Nuts
• Executive Standard: EN14399-3:2015 (Issued by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), full name: "High-strength structural bolted connection assemblies - Part 3: Hexagon nuts and plain washers assemblies". This 2015 version replaces the old EN14399-3:2005.)
• Raw Materials: Nuts are made of high-strength alloy structural steel such as SWRCH45K, 40Cr, 42CrMo, and 35CrMo, with quenching and tempering heat treatment to enhance strength and toughness; washer materials are matched as needed.
• Surface Treatments: All comply with EN ISO 10683 standard, including regular processes (black oxide coating, suitable for indoor dry environments with low cost; electro-galvanizing, passing 48-hour neutral salt spray test, applicable to slightly humid environments) and engineering-grade processes (hot-dip galvanizing, passing over 1000-hour salt spray test, suitable for outdoor and marine climates; Dacromet coating, no hydrogen embrittlement risk and excellent corrosion resistance, ideal for high-strength and high-corrosion-resistance scenarios). These treatments improve rust and corrosion resistance, extend service life, and enhance surface lubricity for easy assembly and disassembly.
• Specification Range: Nominal diameter mainstream is M12–M36, with customizable large specifications of M39–M48; thread type is default metric coarse thread, and fine threads can be customized for special scenarios; precision grades include Grade 10 (regular high strength) and Grade 12 (ultra-high strength); supply methods cover set supply (1 nut + 1 washer) and bulk matching supply (proportionally matched nuts and washers).
Product Structure and Performance
Core Structure Adopting an integrated matching design of "nut + washer". The across-flats dimension of the hexagon nut complies with EN 1092 standard, and the head height is designed to match the high-strength grade; the outer diameter of the plain washer is precisely matched with the nut size, with a thickness of ≥3mm, and the edges are chamfered to avoid scratching the surface of connected parts during assembly. The washer surface can be optionally designed with anti-slip tooth texture, which can engage with the contact surface of connected parts, enhance anti-loosening and anti-vibration performance, and adapt to vibration working conditions.
Mechanical Performance Strictly in line with EN14399-3:2015 and ISO 898-2 standards. For Grade 10 products (regular high strength): tensile strength ≥1000MPa; yield strength ≥800MPa; Rockwell Hardness (HRC) 32–39 with uniform hardness and no cracks; impact energy ≥30J in -20℃ low-temperature environment, no low-temperature brittle fracture risk; can bear 10⁶ alternating loads with fatigue limit ≥450MPa; recommended tightening torque is 450–500N·m when matched with M20 bolts (adjustable according to actual working conditions).

Usage Notes It is strictly prohibited to replace this product with ordinary nuts (such as DIN 934) in core load-bearing parts to avoid fastening failure due to insufficient strength and safety accidents; Grade 10 products cannot replace Grade 12 products for ultra-high load scenarios, and selection must be based on actual load grades.
