ASTM A563M Grade A heavy hex nuts are metric heavy series hex nuts manufactured from low carbon steel, with no mandatory quenching and tempering heat treatment. They feature wider across-flats dimension than regular hex nuts, providing a larger bearing surface.

Low carbon steel (such as 1010, 1018, 10B21). Hardness range: HRB 68 ~ HRC 32. Available finishes: plain oiled, electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, Geomet, black oxide, etc.

Primarily designed to pair with ASTM A307M Gr.A / Gr.B metric bolts. Also compatible with ASTM A449M, ASTM F1554 Gr.36 / Gr.55 anchor bolts.

Note: NOT suitable for high-strength structural bolts ASTM A325M or A490M.
