The production of metric square nuts starts with raw material inspection. Carbon steel or stainless steel wire rods are tested for chemical composition and mechanical properties to guarantee consistent quality. Next comes cold forging, the core forming process. The wire is cut into fixed blanks, then cold extruded by multi-station forging machines to shape the square body and pre-form the thread hole. Cold forging improves material density and tensile strength without damaging the metal grain structure.
After forming, the nuts go through thread tapping. Precision taps cut internal threads to meet ISO metric standards. Threads are checked for pitch, diameter and surface finish. Deburring follows to remove sharp edges on square corners and thread openings. Heat treatment is applied for carbon steel grades: quenching and tempering achieve required hardness and toughness to resist heavy loads.
Surface treatment is then performed, including zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing or black oxide coating, for corrosion resistance. Final quality inspection covers dimension check, thread gauge test, hardness test and surface defect screening. Qualified products are cleaned and packed. Our strict process control ensures stable performance for mechanical and structural applications.

Metric square nuts feature four-sided geometry with larger contact area and good anti-rotation performance. Our main markets cover Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
